    You have to push harder than you think. Also make sure you buy a decent tamper and dont use that cheap plastic tamper included with your unit.

    Maybe you should reprogram the machine to get the desired amount of espresso or try resetting the Machine to factory default.

    Hmmm... I still don't get the whole tampering bit... I'm hardly pressing at all, yet the one-cup setting produces only about a millimetre of coffee before giving up and beeping continuously.
